Japochi – The Absurd Guessing Game

Japochi was born from an intentionally absurd premise: the baseless claim that “all Asians look the same.” Built as a satire, the game presents photos of East Asian individuals—Japanese, Chinese, or maybe neither—and invites players to guess their nationality.

The twist? There are no real rules. The fun lies in how confidently people build their own theories and believe they “know.” The game mocks not the subjects, but the players themselves—exposing our biases and overconfidence through humor. Japochi uses absurdity to hold up a mirror to our own assumptions, reminding us not to take ourselves too seriously.

FUN STORY: The current japochi.app is a copy of the one I launched. At some point the website got hacked and someone launched this revisited version.

@cartelcarteleria – Typographic Nostalgia with a Twist

Cartel Cartelería is an artistic project where I reinterpreted vintage Spanish shop signs, giving them new life through imaginary businesses. It’s a tribute to local graphic heritage—with a surreal, playful twist.

The project gained unexpected traction on social media and even earned a TV feature, connecting with audiences nostalgic for traditional signage and curious about its reinvention. Through humor, design, and storytelling, Cartel Cartelería explores the power of typography to evoke memory, identity, and imagination.
